Please see a summary of the Amadeus Light Ticketing enhancements and news that have taken place over the summer.
Spring Airlines (9C) is distributed in Amadeus through the Light Ticketing functionality
21 July: We are pleased to announce that Spring Airlines (9C) is available for distribution and travel agency booking in Amadeus system through the light ticketing booking. Read more in Amadeus Service Hub
Eurowings (EW) in Light Ticketing mode on the top of the current e-ticketing distribution
19 July: Until now Eurowings (EW) has only been distributed as an electronic ticketing carrier in the Amadeus system providing some range of fares (SMART and BEST). However, from 17th of July TAs currently selling Germanwings in Light Ticketing (LT) using Amadeus will be able to book all published Eurowings content including the BASIC fare and all the ancillary services, allowing them to tailor the full air travel experience to their customers’ needs. Creation of Transitional Stored Tickets (TST) per passenger – activated for AirAsia group of carriers
19 July: The pricing logic of Light Ticketing product is going to be changed to create one TST per passenger (no impact on TSMs creation for services). The enhancement is now available for AirAsia group of carriers. It is already available for Ryanair (FR), Transavia (HV &TO) and Germanwings (4U) carriers since April 2017. Infant fares supported in MasterPricer for Light Ticketing carriers proposing INF
12 July: Travel agents will now be able to price Infant fares for Light Ticketing carriers proposing INF in the same way they access this information for Full Service Carriers. Fare quote base on PTC (passenger type code) is automatically activated for all customers currently using Light Ticketing. Read more in Amadeus Service Hub.
Light Ticketing carrier Transavia (HV and TO) - Branded Fares are now bookable within Amadeus
12 July: Amadeus and Transavia keep on introducing more features in Light Ticketing. Amadeus users will be able to access and book Transavia branded fares, Basic, Plus and Max. Read more in Amadeus Service Hub.
Free baggage allowance (FBA) details for Light Ticketing carriers in Ancillary Service Catalogue Display
12 July: The Free Baggage Allowance (FBA) is indicating the amount of checked-in luggage an airline allows per passenger free of charge as part of the fare in question. This enhancement enables display of free baggage allowance details for Light Ticketing Carriers in the Ancillary Services Catalogue. Read more in Amadeus Service Hub
